Elephants

Masai Mara, Kenya

The guide found a herd of elephants and drove close to them so we could watch and photograph them. As was the practice with most of the large animals, the elephants watched us but continued to graze on the plain.  Sometime after my diagnosis, I made a conscious decision to continue doing my nature photography as long as I was able to do so.  My personal philosophy to live each day to the best of my ability is perhaps symbolized in this photograph.
